There’s never been a better time to join the team at Cycling UK. We have an ambitious strategy and we want you to be part of it. There are loads of reasons to love cycling, even if you’re not someone who cycles. From cutting pollution to improving health, wellbeing and social connection, cycling can help communities thrive.

As our Cycling Development Officer, you will support and develop community-centred cycling activities across the Black Country and West Midlands, working closely with charities, social enterprises, youth groups and other local organisations.
You will engage and manage relationships with organisations looking to develop cycling opportunities within their communities, providing consultation, guidance and practical support to help them establish new activities or integrate cycling into existing services.
You'll build strong partnerships, identify opportunities to address barriers to active travel, and support the development of inclusive, sustainable and volunteer-led cycling initiatives. Through understanding community needs and promoting positive behaviour change, you'll help tackle health, social and economic inequalities while encouraging more people to become physically active and choose cycling as a means of transport.

If you're passionate about engaging communities, building partnerships and delivering projects that make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

We are an inclusive organisation and would particularly welcome applications from candidates from a broad range of backgrounds. We strongly believe that diversity strengthens our work and are committed to creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive.
